Earlier in June in this year, actor
Ajith's residence in Injambakkam in the city received a fake bomb threat through the police control room. Now,
Thalapathy Vijay's residence is Neelankarai had received a bomb threat yesterday. This is not the first time this has happened, as earlier last year also,
Vijay's house in Saligramam and actor Ajith's residence in Injambakkam in Chennai received a fake bomb threat.
Reports are that, yesterday, an anonymous call was made to the Tamil Nadu Police Master Control Room claiming that a bomb had been planted at Vijay‘ residence in Chennai. Police said the man was identified as S Bhuvaneshwaran from Marakkanam in Villupuram district.
A bomb detective and disposal squad (BDDS) and a sniffer dog team were sent to the spot in Neelankarai and the threat was found to be a hoax.
Interestingly, Bhuvaneshwaran, who is a mentally unstable person, has made similar fake calls in the past as well to create panic. He had threatened to bomb the houses of actors Rajinikanth, Ajith Kumar, Edappadi K Palaniswamy and Chief Minister M K Stalin.
