While attending a promotional event for a film, Tamil filmmaker S. A. Chandrasekhar shared a phone call he had with a renowned director. He mentioned that he had the opportunity to watch a recent movie five days before its release. After watching the movie, he called the director and appreciated him for making the first part so promising. He added that people should learn filmmaking from the renowned director, and up to this point, he acted patiently. However, Chandrasekhar soon pointed out some negative aspects of the movie. The director hung up on him, claiming to be busy and having food.

Chandrasekhar did not mention the name of the movie or the director during the event. Later, it was revealed that he was referring to Lokesh Kanagaraj and the movie was Vijay starrer 'Leo.' This conclusion was drawn as Chandrasekhar started discussing a particular scene from the movie. He suggested to the filmmaker that the ritual and sacrifice part in the movie would not work well. People would not accept a father who sacrifices his own son for wealth. After the release, everyone had the same opinion, and Chandrasekhar emphasized that the director did not listen to him back then.
He further added that no one has the courage or maturity to accept their faults. The particular part was from the Thalapathy Vijay starrer 'Leo.'

It's worth noting that director S. A. Chandrasekhar has had a strained relationship with his son Vijay for the past few years. Vijay even took legal action against his parents a year ago, accusing them of exploiting his fame for personal gain. A couple of years ago, S. A. Chandrasekhar openly acknowledged the tensions between him and Vijay. However, it appears that the father-son duo has since reconciled.
