'Thalaivar 170' shooting in Tirunelveli to 'D 51' shooting update: Here's a round up of the Tamil newsmakers

Kollywood had many updates and news this week and a few have got the attention of fans and made a big headline. While the Tamil film industry is filled with news regarding the release of Vijay's 'Leo', there are a few other important updates in the Tamil film industry. Vidaamuyarchi art director Milan passed away on Sunday in Azerbaijan. Milan complained of uneasiness while working at the film sets and allegedly suffered a cardiac arrest. Ajith along with the movie director Magizh Thirumeni accompanied the art director to the hospital but soon succumbed to the cardiac arrest even before he reached the hospital.

The most anticipated Tamil film 'Leo' is all set for its release on October 19. Directed by Lokesh Kanagraj, the movie stars Vijay and Trisha in lead roles and the Tamil Nadu state government announced that the theatres can screen one extra special show apart from the daily four shows from October 19 to October 24 as it is holidays. The statement also made it clear that the theatres cannot have a 4am or 7am show and can only screen the first show at 9am.

Dhanush has signed up for his 51st film with director Sekhar Kammula. The film was officially announced in July and the trilingual film features Dhanush and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. The pre-production of the movie was started last year and the new update now is that the shooting will begin for the movie from February 2024.

Actor Rajinikanth has started shooting for his next 'Thalaivar 170' directed by TJ Gnanavel. The movie shooting went on floors in Kerala and this week the actor is shooting for the movie in Tirunelveli and he met the fans there and even took photos with them. The actor folded his hands and greeted his fans who were waiting to meet him outside the movie sets.
