Tamizh Padam in Telugu now!

This must certainly rank among the bizarre bit of news, but we hear that Tamizh Padam, a fulllength spoof in Tamil cinema, is now being remade in Telugu.
It will be directed by Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao and star Allari Naresh in the lead. The original, which starred Shiva in the lead role, created quite a stir in the industry at the time of its release for its sharp barbs aimed at the clich��s plaguing Tamil cinema.
When contacted, C S Amudhan, the director of Tamizh Padam, informed, ���I heard that the Telugu rights were bought from the production house that produced the film in Tamil. However, I���m not sure how they will be doing the film in Telugu and what elements they will retain from the original.���
