Tamil director Bhagyaraj on sexual crimes: Boys not only the ones responsible, women create an opportunity for it

Tamil film 'Karuthukalai Pathivu Sei' is reportedly based on the Pollachi sexual assault case and at the film’s audio launch, filmmaker K Bhagyaraj was a chief guest and made a rather controversial statement. He stated at the event that boys are not the only ones responsible and than girls also have a weakness and that women create a situation that allows mistakes to happen.
The actor-director also insisted that women should self-regulate themselves, reacting to reports of a wife killing her husband and her baby to be. K Bhagyaraj also spoke about how women were earlier restricted but now women are whispering into their cell phones all the time. While it was supposed to be a celebratory event, it turned out to be a rather controversial one.
The event saw several celebrities like S Ve Shekar, K Rajan and Meera Mithun in attendance.
