Suriya’s NGK won’t be clashing with Vijay’s Sarkar

, starring Suriya in the lead, will release this Deepavali. But the recent turn of events suggest that the movie may not release this November. A source close to the unit says, “Selvaraghavan has suddenly fallen ill and has undergone an appendix surgery. Since he needs rest, the schedules have taken a back seat. Once he’s OK, he will have to figure out the dates with all the artistes all over again, and begin filming.”

We hear that almost 60 per cent of the shoot is over. “But still, because of the delay in the shooting, the film will not be releasing on Deepavali as planned. The makers are trying to release the movie by the end of this year or early next year,” adds the source. Earlier, it was expected to be a Suriya vs Vijay Deepavali at the box office as Vijay’s Sarkar, too, has announced a Deepavali release, but it looks like there won’t be a clash, after all.
