Karthi's 'Viruman' hit the big screens on August 12th ahead of Independence day, and the extended weekend made the film gain a massive number at the box office. 'Viruman' has turned out as Karthi's best opening weekend collection, and the film has grossed over Rs 35 crores. The makers celebrated the film's success yesterday in Chennai and thanked the Press and Media. But here are some major moments from the 'Viruman' success meet.
Suriya, who has been involved in the film's production, appeared in a cool white T-Shirt for the success meet, and he was spotted in a new hair look as he is set to begin his new film with director Siruthai Siva. Suriya and Karthi arrived together for the event, and they set some siblings' goals through their bonding and appearances. The team also played some games, and it was Karthi versus Aditi Shankar for an amusing game. But Karthi won the battle, while Aditi refused to accept her defeat.
Later while speaking at the event, Suriya made a vital statement "Our Lives will be more beautiful when we give more space to Women and make them grow together". Meanwhile, 'Viruman' lead actor Karthi is happy about the film's success as the rural drama is getting good responses in all centers.
Directed by Muthaiah, 'Viruman' features Karthi and Aditi Shankar in lead roles with Prakash Raj, Bharathiraja, Rajkiran, Saranya Ponvannan, Soori, RK Suresh, and Myna Nandhini among others in crucial roles. The film is set in a Madurai backdrop, and it has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
