'Suriya45' title teaser likely to drop on June 20 for Director RJ Balaji’s birthday – Reports

Suriya’s next big project, tentatively titled 'Suriya45', has been generating buzz for months, and now, fans might finally be getting what they’ve been waiting for — the title teaser.



According to recent reports by Pinkvilla, the much-anticipated teaser is expected to be released on June 20, 2025. This coincides with the birthday of the film’s director RJ Balaji.


First-time collaboration between Suriya and RJ Balaji



Suriya45 marks the first-ever collaboration between Tamil superstar Suriya and actor-director RJ Balaji and the expectations are quite high.


The film is described as a commercial entertainer and has Suriya reportedly playing the role of a lawyer, and Trisha Krishnan starring as the female lead. The movie has an ensemble cast that includes Swasika, Indrans, Yogi Babu, Sshivada, and Natty Subramaniam. The Suriya starrer promises a mix of drama, humour, and courtroom action.


Composer Sai Abhyankkar hints at teaser drop


The excitement escalated when music composer Sai Abhyankkar, who is scoring the soundtrack for the film, took to X (formerly Twitter) to tease fans. Posting a behind-the-scenes glimpse from the editing room, he wrote:

“#Suriya45 reveal teaser droppin soon !!!”




While the post didn’t confirm the exact date, fans believe the teaser will land on June 20 as a birthday treat for RJ Balaji, a move that would also serve as a strategic promotional kick-off.


No official confirmation yet from the makers


Despite the growing anticipation, the production team has not yet made an official announcement about the teaser launch.


With Suriya's 'Kanguva' and 'Retro' failing to impress the audience and even his fans, it is expected that the actor will mark his comeback with 'Suriya 45'. 'Retro' was directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and even though the expectations were sky high, the action drama movie didn't impress the majority of the audience.
