Suriya, who is working for the periodic drama 'Kanguva' with director Siruthai Siva, has shown his interest in doing a film on the Mahabharata character Karnan. As per the latest report from an online portal, Suriya is in talks with 'Range De Basanti' director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for an epic film on Karna, and the film marks the Hindi debut of the popular South actor. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, who has been involved in the pre-production work of his film on Karna, has reportedly okayed the project with Suriya to have the Tamil actor in the lead role. Suriya will be seen in a more powerful avatar, and the makers believe that the South actor can pull in with ease.
The official announcement regarding the film might arrive once the dotted lines are signed, and the film might commence in 2024.
Suriya is currently working on 'Kanguva' with director Sirutha Siva, and the next schedule will be commencing soon. The mega-budget film is planned to have a grand release, and the filming of the periodic drama will be completed by the end of 2023. Suriya then planned to work on a quick project with Sudha Kongara and the film will mark the reunion of the 'Soorarai Pottru' duo'. So, the actor's Hindi debut with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra will commence after both of these films.
Meanwhile, Suriya's 'Vaadivaasal' with director Vetri Maaran is getting delayed further and further, and this turned into a worry for fans, who wait to see the film see roll on for over 3 years.
