The first look and title of actor Suriya's upcoming film with director
Pandiraj, which was referred to as #Suriya40, were revealed on Thursday, on the eve of the star's birthday. The action drama has been titled
Etharkkum Thunindhavan
. Interestingly, this was the title of a 1977 Tamil film, a cowboy drama starring Suriya's father, veteran actor

Suriya fans.
In a teaser that was released to reveal the look of Suriya in the film, the actor is seen walking with a long sword in one hand and a gun in another, and killing a few bad guys. The silhouettes of actor
Vinay, who is playing the baddie in the film, are also seen in a couple of shots, in the teaser, which promises an action fest.
The production house also released three pictures to celebrate the star's birthday — one along with the teaser, another at midnight and the third at noon. In one of the posters, Suriya is seen sitting with a bloodied sword in his hands while dead bodies lay piled up all around him. Following the release of the teaser and the posters, there is speculation that the plot of the film might be based on the
Pollachi sex scandal
.
