‘Suriya 45’: Was the Suriya starrer initially written for Trisha Krishnan?

Suriya has recently announced his next tentatively titled ‘Suriya 45’. He is teaming up with RJ Balaji for the upcoming film. RJ Balaji has previously helmed ‘Mookuthi Amman’ starring Nayanthara, and as ‘Suriya 45’ is said to be a divine fantasy, the expectations are high.

According to a report by Valai Pechu, RJ Balaji had earlier written the film for Trisha. If the report is to be believed, the makers made changes in the script to accommodate Suriya as the lead actor. However, there is no official confirmation regarding the same.

While announcing the film earlier this week, Suriya said that he is thrilled. “Thrilled!” he penned on X (formerly Twitter) while launching the film’s title.


On the work front, Suriya will be next seen in 'Kanguva'. Helmed by Siva, 'Kanguva', has Suriya, Disha Patani, and Bobby Deol in the lead roles. The dialogues are crafted by Madan Karky. Adi Narayana is the writer. The upcoming film will mark Bollywood stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani’s debut in Tamil cinema. The film also has actors Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, KS Ravikumar and BS Avinash in supporting roles. The film is slated to release in theaters on November 14, 2024.

Suriya has recently wrapped up the shoot of his film Karthik Subbaraj titled ‘Suriya 44’. The film has Pooja Hegde as the leading lady. Actors Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, Prakash Raj, Sujith Shankar, Thamizh, Prem Kumar, Ramachandran Durairaj, Sandeep Raj, Murugavel, Remya Suresh and MD Asif are also part of the cast.
