Superstar Rajinikanth wishes director Desingh Periyasamy for 'STR 48'

Director Desingh Periyasamy gained attention with his successful debut, 'Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal,' a heist thriller that performed well at the box office. Despite initial talks of directing a film starring Rajinikanth, Periyasamy has now unveiled his next project, 'STR 48,' featuring Silambarasan in the lead role. While Rajinikanth's film collaboration plans shifted, he graciously extended best wishes to Periyasamy for his upcoming venture. The director expressed gratitude for Rajinikanth's support, emphasizing the veteran actor's encouragement toward emerging talent in the industry.

It is worth mentioning that the 'STR 48' story was initially narrated to Rajinikanth, and the actor ignored the film considering its development.


Desingh Periyasamy is currently working on the pre-production work of 'STR 48', and the film is reported to be a periodic action drama. 'STR 48' takes an extended time for pre-production as Silambarasan is training multiple techniques for the film and he is also undergoing an intense workout to sport a muscular look for the film. Silambarasan is reported to be playing a dual role as a hero and villain and the film is said to be a clash between brothers. The cast and crew for the periodic drama are yet to be announced officially, and we can expect it to be made once the film hits the floor.
