Suhasini shoots for Ramanujan

National Award-winning director Gnana Rajasekaran has started shooting for his next, a biopic on mathematical whiz Srinivasa Ramanujan, in Kumbakonam. We hear that the unit is canning scenes relating to Ramanujan���s childhood and his early days in the town, and Suhasini Mani Ratnam, who plays the ace mathematician���s mother, has already begun shooting for her portions.
A source reveals, ���This is likely to be a 20-day schedule, and the team will be shooting at locations where Ramanujan spent his childhood. Recently, a song sequence involving Suhasini and the young Ramanujan was shot inside a famous temple there. She was seen decked in traditional attire and looked her part. This schedule is likely to continue for a few more days.���
The Tamil-English bilingual has Abhay, grandson of Kadhal Mannan Gemini Ganesan, playing Ramanujan, with Bhamaa as his wife. The film will chronicle Ramanujan���s life ��� right from his childhood to the time he proved his mettle as a mathematical whiz, and his contribution to the world of numbers.
