The court also ordered that stray dogs across the country be controlled within eight weeks.

Many people especially consider stray dogs as family members. It's not right to break that connection with them. The feelings of the animals should also be considered," she said, emphasizing that he did not support the court order. Thus, while attempts are being made to resolve the problem of stray dogs legally, it has been met with opposition from a humanitarian perspective, causing a stir.

Animal welfare activists and film industry celebrities stage protests

Although the verdict was a relief to the public, it caused great discontent among animal lovers and dog lovers. Animal welfare activists strongly opposed the Supreme Court order. Hundreds of people took part in the protest in Chennai. Many film industry celebrities, including director Vasanth, actress Vinothini, and actress Ammu, participated and expressed their condemnation.
