STR back in Maanaadu?

Guess there is no shortage of drama when a project involves Simbu. Only in August, producer Suresh Kamatchi had announced that the actor would not be part of Maanaadu, a political thriller he was making with Venkat Prabhu. The producer had made this statement following the repeated delays of the project, which was announced first in June 2018. “We will be making Maanaadu with another hero,”the producer had told us then.
In response to Suresh Kamatchi’s decision, STR, as Simbu is now called, had announced that he would be making a big-budget, multilingual film titled Mahaa Maanaadu, to be produced by his father T Rajhendherr.
But now, there is yet another twist in this tale. Following mediation by well-wishers, STR and Suresh Kamatchi have had discussions and the actor might be back on board Maanaadu.
Confirming the news, the producer tells us, “Yes, we have had talks, but Simbu is yet to sign on the dotted line. Once he agrees to the conditions in the agreement and signs it, we will proceed with the film.”
