After making an impressive debut with 'Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal,' Desingh Periyasamy announced he would direct Silambarasan in his next directorial, and the film was initially launched as 'STR 48' two years back. But 'STR 48' underwent a major change, and the film is now 'STR 50,' with Silambarasan taking over the production. Now, speaking at the press meeting of 'Sweat Heart,' director Desingh Periyasamy revealed a shocking fact. According to Desingh Periyasamy, 'STR 50' was almost shelved at one point. However, it was music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja who played a crucial role in reviving the project. Desingh Periyasamy shared that when he narrated the story to Yuvan, the composer was immediately excited and asked when they could begin work. He also mentioned that Yuvan Shankar Raja personally called Silambarasan and encouraged him to go ahead with the film, giving the team the much-needed push to bring the project to life.'STR 50' is reported to be a periodic action thriller, and Silambarasan plays a dual role in the film, which is reported to be a clash between his dual avatars. The shooting of the film is yet to commence, while details about the female lead and supporting cast are still under wraps. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the music, while Manoj Paramahamsa will handle the cinematography.Meanwhile, Desingh Periyasamy's debut directorial, Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal,' has completed five years, and the film is celebrated for its cult status among fans. Starring Dulquer Salmaan, Ritu Varma, Rakshan, and Niranjani Ahathian, the film impressed audiences with its stylish narrative and unexpected twists. Desingh Periyasamy's directorial was praised for its fresh storytelling and engaging screenplay. Even after five years, the film continues to be a favorite, with fans reminiscing about its clever heist sequences and charming performances.
