Star Wars
films has gone gage over it on his Twitter page. British screenwriter
Gary Whitta, who co-wrote the story of the Star Wars spinoff film
Rogue One
: A Star Wars Story, had watched the film on a streaming platform and was effusive in his praise of the film.
"I can now safely say that the Hindi action movie 2.0 is AMAZING and you should absolutely watch all of it, including the jaw-dropping musical number at the end. The VFX are stunning," wrote Whitta, who has also written After Earth with M Night Shyamalan, and starring Will Smith, and the 2001 post-apocalyptic film The Book Of Eli, starring Denzel Washington. When a commenter mentioned that film to be a Tamil film with Hindi, Chinese and Russian versions, Whitta thanked him for the clarification and also got his doubt over the actors speaking in English at times.
He also shared a link to the song Endhira Logathu Sundariye, which plays over the film's end credits, and added, "If you just want to watch the 2.0 music video it’s here, but I recommend you save it until the end of the movie. I will be watching this on repeat all day."
Director Shankar retweeted the tweet, sharing his excitement at being recognised by a writer in Hollywood.
