Sridevi's daughter chooses her mother’s onscreen husband

The Sridevi-starrer MOM has pulled off a casting coup of sorts with actors like Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in primary roles. The film also stars Adnan Siddiqui, who worked with Angelina Jolie and Dan Futterman in the critically-acclaimed 2007 film, A Mighty Heart. What's interesting about his casting is that it was Sridevi's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor, who suggested Adnan ‘s name for the film.

Says a source, "Jhanvi really admires Adnan's work and loved him in A Mighty Heart. They convinced the actor to do a look test and producer Boney Kapoor then immediately got in touch with his team and closed the deal. Adnan Siddiqui essays the role of Sridevi’s husband in the film.” Music for the film is by maestro A R Rahman and the film is directed by Ravi Udyawar.
