Spyder trailer is a Mahesh Babu show

The much-awaited trailer of Mahesh Babu’s Tamil debut Sypder was released last night. The trailer looks like a one-man show where Mahesh Babu’s myriad faces as shown. While his mother describes him as a shy boy, he seems to have a soft corner for Rakul Preet Singh, who appears in a de-glam role. On the other hand, Mahesh Babu also seems to be tech-savvy guy, who has found software that helps locate and highlight cases that are in need of urgent help. Mahesh Babu is introduced as an Intelligence Bureau guy who wants to change the world. He says he is no Spiderman, but wants to save everyone. Though the antagonist S J Suryah seems to have a power-packed role, not much is shown in the trailer. But, he has a menacing look and delivers a line that packs a punch. There seems to be a vicious plot to destroy something. What’s most impressive is the way Mahesh Babu has rendered his dialogues in Tamil. It’s flawless and it’s such a pleasure listening to him delivering dialogues in the language.

The film is directed by

AR Murugadoss

and has music by Harris Jayaraj. The film is slated to release on September 27. The rest of the star cast includes Bharath, RJ Balaji , Priyadarshi Pullikonda and Shaji Chen. The film is releasing in both Tamil and Telugu and this is the first bilingual attempt for both Murugadoss and Mahesh Babu.
