A significant announcement from the Tamil Nadu Theatres Association has somewhat disappointed the fans with their decision to not permit any special teaser or trailer celebrations in state theatres.Recently, Vijay's 'Leo' trailer enjoyed an exclusive screening in various theatres across Tamil Nadu, generating high anticipation. Unfortunately, a theatre in Chennai suffered damage as fans expressed their displeasure with the management in an inappropriate manner. The theatres that showcased the 'Leo' trailer faced repercussions, receiving a show-cause notice from the CBFC due to the screening of an uncensored version.

In response to these incidents, the Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association, led by President Tiruppur Subramaniam, has made a crucial decision. In a recent interaction with an online portal, Subramaniam confirmed that theatres will no longer be allowed to conduct special screenings of trailers or teasers. He also took a dig at the 'Leo' makers for their tussle with the Tamil Nadu government over securing special morning shows for the Vijay-starrer.

Despite the setback, theatre owners express contentment with the scheduled five shows a day for 'Leo' from October 19 to 24. They are optimistic that Vijay's collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj will dominate the box office.

The question remains whether the Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association will adhere to their current decision or reconsider, given the potential demand for such screenings in the future. The unfolding scenario awaits further developments.
