Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, known for his philanthropic work and impressive physique, is known in Kollywood for his roles in films like Chandramukhi, Osthe, Devi and most recently in Vijay Antony's 'Thamilarasan'. During an interaction with his fans on social media, Sonu Sood revealed that his favorite Tamil actor is Vijayakanth.
Interestingly though, the popular actor has made his debut with Vijayakanth-starrer 'Kallazhagar' in 1999. Sonu Sood played Soumya Narayanan, a priest in the film. Responding to a fan's question about his favorite Tamil actor, Sonu Sood wrote, "Vijaykanth sir. He gave me my first break in a Tamil film …Kallalazagar."
The action drama film directed by Bharathi, starred Vijayakanth and Laila in lead roles with Nasser, Sonu Sood and Manivannan playing supporting roles, while Deva composed the score and soundtrack for the film.
Actor Sonu Sood, became even more popular than before after his charity during the Covid-19 pandemic. His work during the pandemic was recognised for which he gained recognition from both the Delhi government and the United Nations Development Programme.
