“The film is a horror movie-cum-survival thriller that is set mainly in a bungalow in a forest. We have largely shot the film in the hillsides of Kerala,” begins the filmmaker, who has shot many advertising films over the past few years. He adds, “This will not be a routine horror movie. For one, there won’t be comedy, as is usual in our films. We have made a Hollywood-style horror film and visual effects will have importance in this one.”

The story revolves around Pournami’s character, and Sonia plays the role of a teacher in the film, informs the director. “I have known Sonia for the past seven years, and when scriptwriter Shibi came up with this story, I knew that she would be apt for the role. In addition to an emotional performance, Sonia will also be seen performing stunts in the film, especially in the climax. She has done many of the stunts without using any stunt double,” he says.

While Vimala Raman will be seen in the role of an advocate, Charmila will appear in the titular role as a grandmother. Malayalam actor Hemanth Menon plays the antagonist.

Yeshwanth Balaji

, an associate of well-known cinematographer RD Rajasekar, has shot this film, which has music by

Jecin George

, who is known for the hit YouTube song Chellakuttiye.
