Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi,' for a salary of just Rs 400. The original version was directed by Puri sir. I even told him about it,” he said. The actor then added, “From earning Rs 400 as a junior artist to now acting as a hero in his film, I feel truly honoured and grateful.” His words highlighted the remarkable path he has travelled from struggling artist to one of Indian cinema’s most respected performers.

Actor praises Puri Jagannadh and VTV Ganesh

Vijay Sethupathi spoke highly of director Puri Jagannadh, calling him a filmmaker with extraordinary clarity and dedication. “Puri sir keeps writing all the time. Once he finishes one story, he immediately starts thinking about another,” he said. The actor also expressed confidence that Slumdog could become one of the finest films in the director’s career.
He then turned his attention to VTV Ganesh, saying, “My perception of him changed while working on this film. He would guide me and keep the atmosphere lively by making everyone laugh.” According to Vijay Sethupathi, Ganesh’s positive energy played a key role on the sets.
