SJ Suryah reveals S Shankar spent Rs 8 crore on his residence set in Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2'

Actor SJ Suryah, currently promoting his upcoming film 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' with Nani, recently shared some interesting details about his role in 'Indian 2' . He revealed that the set for his character's residence in 'Indian 2' cost an astonishing Rs 8 crore.

He also told Galatta that there are around 20 similarly elaborate sets created for the film, which also features extensive song sequences and action scenes.

Director Shankar, known for his grand cinematic vision, has once again allocated a significant portion of the film’s budget to create visually stunning sets and impressive scenes. 'Indian 2' is the much-awaited sequel to the iconic 'Indian', starring Kamal Haasan. The story continues with Senapathy, the freedom fighter turned vigilante, as he battles corruption in India. As he takes on new challenges, the film explores what might happen if society chooses to ignore his mission.

Apart from Kamal Haasan, 'Indian 2' boasts a star-studded cast including Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, and many more.

On the work front, SJ Suryah is set to play the main villain in Nani's next movie, 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram'. The story revolves around a ruthless police officer in Sokupalem, whose sinister ways are challenged when he encounters Surya, a man with a split personality. Every Saturday, Surya transforms into a relentless vigilante, determined to hunt down his enemies, no matter the cost.
