Sivakumar to SPB: ‘Corona is just another challenge in your life. Come out of it soon’

Legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam was admitted to hospital recently and his son SP Charan has been giving updates on the former’s heath status through his social media page. Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja came up with an emotional video in which he was asking the singer to get well soon. Those who grew up on Raja-Balu songs found the video quite moving. Later, Rajinikanth, too, posted a video from his Twitter account, wishing a speedy recovery to the singer.Now, actor Sivakumar has joined the bandwagon. The senior actor has released a video of one-and-a-half minutes in which he recollected the association with SPB and asked him to come back soon from the hospital.
He said, “Balu, you are four years younger to me. So, I think it is fair to address you as . You are a legendary singer who is celebrated across the world. You have lent voice for more than 100 duet songs in my movies. Do you remember the first film in which you sang a duet for me? It’s from .”

Sivakumar also recollected a tongue-twister song which SPB sang in one of his movies and said he had pulled it off flawlessly. The song from , which SPB sang along with P Susheela was another work of the renowned singer which Sivakumar raved about. He added, “I can never forget the songs and you sang for my 100^th film. The emotion you instilled with your voice for the latter was so effective. You are someone who faced a lot of challenges in life. What you are facing now is another challenge. Come out of it as quickly as you can.”
