Sivakarthikeyan's 'Prince' earns almost Rs 100 crores in pre-release business; Details inside

Sivakarthikeyan will be next seen on big screens in the bilingual drama 'Prince', which is directed by Anudeep, and the film is slated to release for the occasion of this Diwali on October 21. The makers have been working on the film's release process, and the film has accumulated a good response in the pre-release business. As per the latest reports, Sivakarthikeyan's 'Prince' has earned almost Rs 100 crores in pre-release business. The digital and satellite rights of the film have been sold for around Rs 40 crores. The theatrical rights of the Tamil version have reportedly earned Rs 45 crores, while the audio rights have been sold for Rs 4 crores.

The bilingual has earned Rs 90 crores so far, while the theatrical rights of the Telugu version take the film to go past Rs 100 crores in the pre-release business. So, 'Prince' will be Sivakarthikeyan's first film to reach Rs 100 crores in pre-release business, and the actor is stepping into the top position strongly.

Sivakarthikeyan's last two releases 'Doctor' and 'Don' have grossed over Rs 100 crores at the box office, as a result, the bankable actor's next release got great reception among the distributors.

Reported to be a romantic comedy, 'Prince' features Sivakarthikeyan and Maria Ryaboshapka in lead roles with several popular faces in pivotal roles. Thaman takes care of the music, and the makers have planned to have a grand audio launch soon in Chennai to stir up the buzz for the film ahead of its release. Sivakarthikeyan's 'Prince' will be clashing with Karthi's 'Sardar' at the box office, and it's going to be both actors' second meeting at the box office.
