Sivakarthikeyan turns emotional by remembering his father at the 'Amaran' press meet

Sivakarthikeyan's 'Amaran' is storming the box office across locations, and the 2024 Diwali release turned out to be a close-to-heart film for the audience. 'Amaran' is inspired by the life story of Major Mukund Varadharajan, who died on a military mission in 2014, and Sivakarthikeyan reprised the role of the late Major. The success meet of 'Amaran' happened in Chennai yesterday (Nov 4) as the team expressed their gratitude and happiness over the film's box office success. Sivakarthikeyan shared his happiness as he has been receiving never before responses for his role in 'Amaran'. But he couldn't control his tears when remembering his late father Doss, who was a cop, and said that he witnessed similarities between Major Mukund Varadharajan and his father as both died while on their duties.

Sivakarthikeyan further added that he always had a wish to portray a brave cop role like his father, but his wish has come true with 'Amaran' as Mukund Varadharajan was also a similar character to his father. Sivakarthikeyan couldn't accept the loss of his father even after decades as his loss still affected him personally. He feels proud to stand at the 'Amaran' success meet as a son of a sincere cop Doss. Sivakarthikeyan's emotional moment at the 'Amaran' success meet grabbed attention on social media, while fans cheered for the actor.

Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, 'Amaran' grossed around Rs 160 crore in 5 days, and the film is stepping ahead strongly. 'Amaran' is already Sivakarthikeyan's highest-grossing film and the film is positioned to break more records.
