Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi recently collaborated for 'Amaran', which hit theatres on October 31, and the film is receiving positive responses from fans and critics alike. Many reports have been circulating about Sivakarthikeyan making a cameo appearance in Rajinikanth’s 'Coolie'. Finally, the actor addressed these rumors in a recent interview.
After a photo of the actor alongside director Lokesh Kanagaraj went viral online, many speculated that he might have a cameo in 'Coolie'. Sivakarthikeyan told Pinkvilla that he did not visit the shooting site but often meets Lokesh, who is close to him. “No, I hadn’t gone to the shooting spot. I meet Lokesh often because we are in a common group. Like 'Maaveeran' producer Arun Vishwas, associate screenwriter Chandru, Madonne Ashwin, Lokesh, and myself, we hang out together most of the time,” he said.

The actor further clarified that he visited the 'Coolie' shooting location only because it was near his home. “'Coolie' is my Thalaivar’s film; that is the only connection I have with it. I’m not in the film, so please don’t carry any news like that,” he said.
Rajinikanth’s 'Coolie', directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is expected to hit theaters in the summer of 2025. The movie also features Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra Rao, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, and Sathyaraj in key roles. Bollywood star Aamir Khan is expected to have a cameo in the film.
Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan’s 'Amaran', directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, tells the life story of the late Major Mukund Varadarajan, with Sai Pallavi playing the female lead.
