Director Singam Sudhakar Reddy, who has directed several films in Telugu and Kannada like Chennapattinam Chinnalu with Rajashekar, is all excited about his first Tamil film. Titled Arakkonam, the film will have Sriman and Mumbai-based Prachi playing the lead.
Talking to TOI, director S S Reddy says, ���������Arakkonam is a murder mystery that���������s been inspired by a real-life incident.

A few years ago, three cold-blooded murders were committed in Arakkonam. My film has been inspired by this incident, but is not a reflection of the same. My film is not even remotely connected to the real incident.���������
Ask him why he chose Sriman to play the lead and the director says, ���������Sriman is a talented actor and I thought he would be apt for the role I had in mind. In fact, he���������s played his part to perfection.���������
The director, who is currently busy with the post-production work of the film, discloses that the film will release by the end of June.
