Simbu's 'Pathu Thala' OTT rights sold before film's release

After ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’, Simbu is gearing up for the release of his next film ‘Pathu Thala’ directed by Obeli N Krishna. Starring Simbu, Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar, the movie is all set to release in theatres on March 30. Now, the digital rights of the film have been bought by the leading national OTT platform that previously bought Simbu’s ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ as well.
‘Pathu Thala’ is the remake of the Kannada film ‘Mufti’ and it has huge expectations making the film to be bought by the OTT platform even before its release.The film’s music is composed by AR Rahman and the first single from the film ‘Namma Satham’ is said to be launched tomorrow marking Simbu’s birthday.
Simbu plays the role of an underground gangster in the film and Gautham Karthik plays the role of a cop. On the work front, after ‘Pathu Thala’, Simbu is reportedly said to act in the film ‘Corona Kumar’ but new reports suggest that the actor has not officially signed up for any movie after ‘Pathu Thala’.
