Simbu's 'Maanadu' shooting delays due to Chennai rains

', and the film started rolling officially on the actor's last birthday. But the film shooting was affected like all other films due to the pandemic spread. However, the team resumed the shooting last December and completed a successful schedule in Pondicherry. Now, again Simbu's 'Maanadu' shooting has faced hurdles due to due to unforeseen rains in Chennai.

After the Pondicherry schedule, the director Venkat Prabhu had finished a short schedule in Yercaud with the supporting stars. Meanwhile, Simbu has gone on a devotional trip to Sabarimala and Kaasi with his friends. Director Venkat Prabhu had a plan of shooting for a week in Chennai for 'Maanadu' before they proceed next for the final leg of shooting. But the unexpected change in the climate, and the continuous rain in Chennai has affected the director's plan.'Maanadu' features Simbu and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles, with Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekar, SJ Surya, Manoj, Premgi Amaren, and others in supporting roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music, and the film produced by Suresh Kamatchi is expected to hit the big screens for Summer.
