is all set to begin his next film '
Maanaadu
' with director
Venkat Prbahu
. The film marks the the duo’s first collaboration in their long careers and is produced by Suresh Kamatchi. The shooting of the action-thriller is expected to begin in October this year and the film is planned to be released for summer in 2019.
While an official confirmation on the cast is awaited, the buzz on the technical crew is that the filmaker is in talks with the Oscar-winning music director AR Rahman to compose the music and PC Sreeram to handle the cinematography. Reports are also doing the rounds that Simbu might play a negative character in the film.
Meanwhile, Simbu is awaiting the release of Mani Ratnam's multistarrer 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam', which is set to hit the screen in September. The film has a huge star cast which includes Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay, Simbu, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari, Dayana Erappa and Aishwarya Rajesh.
