Simbu banks on humour

Simbu���s Vaalu has taken off and people are wondering how his combination with Santhanam will pan out. Sources state that Vaalu will be a quickie and may even release before the actor���s action flick Vettai Mannan.
Says Simbu, ���Yes, we���ll be finishing work on Vaalu and release it for Deepavali. As it���s a proper Chennai script, we���ll be shooting majority of the talkie portions in the city only.��� He adds, ���I loved the script as it was had a very simple and humorous approach and was very different from the genres (romance and action) that I���m currently doing.���
A couple of dialogues (especially a similar one from Padikathavan) in the comic flick have created a stir among fans as it comes across like the actor���s hitting out at Dhanush.Quiz Simbu about this and he says, ���It���s nothing like that; it���s just part of the dialogues in the film.���
A slight delay in the schedule of his Vettai Mannan has brought Vaalu to the forefront. ���We���re done with 50 percent of the film but have to shoot abroad,��� he explains, ���That���ll be a 25-day schedule and should happen sometime in August. So before that, we���ll finish most of Vaalu.���
