It is known that Silambarasan TR and Gautham Karthik-starrer 'Pathu Thala' directed by Obeli N Krishna of 'Sillunnu Oru Kadhal' fame is gearing for release on March 30, 2023. Meanwhile, the makers are busy gearing up for the promotions of the film. The team had recently shot a promo song featuring Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar and AR Rahaman.
With Silambarasan not being part of the promo song, there have been rumours that the team had left him out since they couldn't wait for him to return from Thailand, where he is learning martial arts and working on his physical transformation. Putting an end to these speculation, the film director Obeli N Krishna has cleared the airs about Silambarasan TR not being a part of the promo song.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote, "Dear all , just want to make it clear, our original idea itself not to bring @SilambarasanTR_ in our promo video as per our strategy so, don’t abuse his name for no reason our producer @kegvraja @StudioGreen2 has clear idea about promotion of #PathuThala We hate ,hate speech"
He further added, "@SilambarasanTR_ brother completed #PathuThala shoot in December itself what we shot yesterday is song between @Gautham_Karthik and @priya_Bshankar. In which we included @arrahman sir also as promo song . This is for particular media people , pl make note of it."
The film is the Tamil remake of 'Mufti', which also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Madras fame Kalaiarasan, Manushiyaputhiran and Asuran fame Teejay. The film also marks the reunion of the director with AR Rahman 15 years after Sillunu Oru Kadhal. Silambarasan will be seen as a gangster AGR and it's going to be a powerful role for the actor for sure.
