Silambarasan joined hands with director Desingh Periyasamy for 'STR 48', and the film was officially launched a few months back. Silambarasan has been camped in London for the last few months and is said to be preparing for his role in 'STR 48'. The actor was spotted hitting the gym and training effectively to sport a superfit look for 'STR 48'. The workout video of the actor has gone viral.
Meanwhile, Desingh Periyasamy recently explained the delay in the pre-production work of 'STR 48' and assured that the film will represent Silambarasan in a never-before-seen role.
Desingh Periyasamy also shared that Rajinikanth is excited as the story of 'STR 48' was initially narrated to the superstar. The shooting of 'STR 48' will be commencing in the second half of January, and Silambarasan is expected to return in India, after the New Year celebration in London.
Reported to be a periodic action drama, Silambarasan will be essaying a dual role as twin brothers in the upcoming film.
