SIIMA 2023: Anirudh Ravichander wins the Best Music Director Tamil for 'Vikram' & Ilango Krishnan takes home the Best Lyricist award for 'Ponniyin Selvan'

The 11th edition of the South Indian International Movie Awards is currently underway in Dubai. 'Ponniyin Selvan' which grabbed the maximum nominations has already bagged two awards. After Ravi Varman for Best Cinematographer, Ilango Krishnan has now won the award for Best Lyricist.

"The wordsmith behind the lovely lyrics of Ponni Nadhi in Ponniyin Selvan - 1, Ilango Krishnan, has won the Best Lyric Writer (Tamil) award at #SIIMA2023," the post read.



Anirudh Ravichander who recently made his Bollywood debut with 'Jawan' won the award at SIIMA 2023 for the Best Music Director Tamil for the film 'Vikram'. Anirudh Ravichander couldn't attend the event in Dubai and actor Sathish accepted the award on his behalf. "And the SIIMA for the Best Music Director (Tamil) goes to none other than the extremely talented @anirudhofficial for his blissful music in Vikram! Satish has received the award on his behalf," read the official Instagram post.
