Sid Sriram's Kannu Thangom from Vaanam Kottatum is a soothing melody

That Sid Sriram will be debuting as a music composer with Dhana's Vaanam Kottatum is known. And now, the young musician has released the first single from its album. Called Kannu Thangom, the number has been sung by Sid Sriram and Shakthisree Gopalan, and penned by Siva Ananth.
A source says, "The film is special for Sid Sriram because his first song was Adiye from Kadal, which was directed by Mani Ratnam. And the ace director is also producing Vaanam Kottatum. Mani Ratnam had told Sid that the album has to be experimental, and hence, the youngster has tried using different sounds for the soundtracks. He has roped in Shakthisree for the song and since they are both good friends, the vibe reflects in the song as well. Kannu Thangom is a melody, and there is minimal use of instruments."
Vaanam Kottatum, which is in its final stages of production, stars Sarath Kumar, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Rajesh, Madonna Sebastian, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Nandaa, Amitash, Balaji Sakthivel and Madhusudhana Rao, among others.
