Kishore. The film is titled ‘
Maayon
’ and it has been certified ‘U’ by the censor board. The movie features
Sibi Sathyaraj and
Tanya Ravichandran in the lead roles. It has now been announced that the film will be released in theatres on June 24.
Actor Sibiraj on April 17, took to
Instagram to announce the release date of the film. Sharing an image, he wrote, “Happy to announce that 'Maayon' will hit the big screens on June 24 worldwide. Need all your love and support."
It is touted that the film is set against the backdrop of an ancient temple. Produced by Double Meaning Productions, the music for the movie is composed by the maestro
Ilaiyaraaja.
‘Maayon’ is reportedly the first Indian film to release a movie teaser with an audio description. This was made in order to offer the movie-watching experience even to people who are visually challenged. Reports suggest that the movie team is also working at the backend to make the entire film audio-described to let the visually challenged people to watch the film.
