The award-winning actress, who won the Filmfare award for her brilliant performance in Paleri Manikam last year, is now doing the remake of the 70s classic Rathinirvedam. Rumour mills have been working overtime that she is to get married to Sreevalsan Menon, a Mumbai-based media professional, on May 18.The actress, who is busy in Mollywood at the moment, has two back-to-back releases in Rajeev Kumar���������s Ratinirvedam and Ashiq Abu���������s Salt ���������n Pepper coming up in June.
Ask the actress about rumours on her marriage and Shwetha Menon ��������� who is on a stage show tour with a couple of other Malyalam artists to the US ��������� denies it vehemently. Talking exclusively to CT from Orlando, Shwetha says, ���������I���������m currently on a month-long tour of the US and Canada and will be back only on June 2. How can I get married on May 18 in Thrissur as per rumours? As my father has been admitted to a hospital in Kerala, I wanted to cancel my shows and go back but the laws here are strict and my show organisers won���������t let me go back till I finish the remaining shows.���������
The actress makes no bones about being in love. Says the actress, ���������Yes, I���������m in love and I���������ve never tried to hide it. For the last 18 months, I���������m in a relationship with Sreevalsan Menon, but there have been no marriage plans. Sree understands me and it looks like we were destined to fall in love.��������� Sreevalsan Menon, who is currently in Mumbai working for a London-based company, is the grandson of poet laureate Vallathol Narayana Menon.
Meanwhile, the Kerala media is cautious about the development, especially after the recent marriage of Prithviraj to Supriya. When a popular website first reported Prithvi���������s marriage plans, the actor gave interviews to leading magazines denying it. Later, Prithvi went on to marry the same girl!
