Shruti Haasan on quitting alcohol; 'Salaar' actress hits back at trolls who tried to shame her

In a recent YouTube interview, Shruti Haasan opened up about quitting alcohol and said that she was addicted to alcohol for 8 years. Even though Shruti Haasan hadn't gone for drugs, alcohol was a big part of the actress's life, and she was addicted to alcohol for some years. However, she has now quit drinking and said that removing alcohol from her life greatly helped her state of mind.

But some media houses twisted Shruti Haasan's statement which didn't go well with the actress as some netizens started to troll her on social media. For those trolls and negativity, Shruti Haasan has given a cool reply through her Instagram story and wrote "So... Trying to Shame me with articles Talking about my sobriety isn't working, Guess what God is kind, My life is kind. No amount of negativity BS before every release will change that. Okay bye, try and find your blessings too".

On the work front, Shruti Haasan will next be seen on big screens in this week's big release 'Salaar'. She plays the female lead opposite Prabhas in the action drama, which is directed by Prashanth Neel, and she is set to deliver an impressive role.
