Shraddha Srinath’s next is a horror film set in 2050

, Shraddha Srinath has signed her next in Kollywood. She will be headlining a horror thriller, titled

Kaliyugam

, which will also be made in Telugu. Debutant

Pramod Sundar

, who will be directing the film, says, “It’s an intense story and has a unique take on what will happen in the post-apocalyptic India. It will be set in 2050, and there is one part in the film that no one has explored before. The story is very relatable, especially because of what we are dealing with right now. We have all been taking some things for granted. But what will happen if those things become irreplaceable, or something of high value, for us?”
The filmmaker says he has written a racy screenplay. “The film will have a run-time of just one hour and 50 minutes,” he states.

Talking about roping in Shraddha for the bilingual, he says, “She was our first choice. We shot a pilot and sent it to her, which she loved. We then met over a Zoom call for the narration. Shraddha’s role is an interesting one; she will be at crossroads all the time.”
