Shoot at Site: Teejay recreates his popular song for a fun music video

Choreographer Sandy and director Venki had delivered one of the biggest chartbusters of 2021 with Kutty Pattas. Now, the duo are coming together again for another music video — Muttu Mu2. The song has been composed by Asuran fame TeeJay Arunasalam, and also features him along with comedian Pugazh, Pragya Nagra and Preity Mukhundhan.
We got an exclusive sneak peek at the shoot of the song, which took place in the last week of December.When we entered the set in a popular location in Valasaravakkam, we saw the production team braving the cold weather and getting things ready for the shoot, which went on from midnight till early morning.
With director Venki busy setting up the shot, we catch up with its producer Arun. "It's a romantic, peppy song. I'd say it will be one of the biggest numbers of 2022," he begins and adds, "The song takes place in a birthday party and we have created a birthday set-up."
The shoot starts and we gather a sense of the story that takes place within the song. Teejay tries to woo Pragya, and she begins to respond. But later, once Preity enters the scene, he decides to go after her. It's all done in a playful manner. In his typical style, Sandy has come up with a signature step for this number as well.
The night gets colder, but the set only gets busier as the team picks up pace to ensure that they wrap up before dawn. It's time for us to leave, but despite the hectic shoot, we see the team also having fun on the set between shots.
I've done a music video after a long time. This is my debut music direction and I'm featuring Yogi B and Sivaangi. It's going to be a grand number.

Muttu Mu2 song vera level la irukku. I play a beeda shop owner in this song, and appear along with Teejay. Sandy Master has got 15-20 dancers to dance along and it's great fun shooting for it.
