During an exclusive visit to the set of Jinn, starring Bigg Boss Tamil winner Mugen Rao and Jo fame Bhavya Trikha, the team was busy filming a family sequence. Speaking to us, director TR Bala, who has worked as an assistant director in Vijay starrers Jilla and Velayudham previously, tells us, “We have created Jinn as an engaging love story that blends suspense, chills, and humour. The story is based on real-life events and the character of Jinn will captivate everyone watching the film.”

Bhavya: My character in the film is a reflection of me
My character, Priya, is a reflection of me, because she is sweet, caring, and bubbly. I know Priya is a common name but my character is going to be unique. Working on this film with many great artistes has been exciting.

I found the script inspiring and interesting. It made me eager to know more about the story. Many people might think the film Jinn refers to a drink or a ghost, but this is a family-orientated film. This project also features many senior artistes. Working with them was fun and entertaining.
The story revolves around discovering what this Jinn is: VinodhiniI am playing the role of Mugen Rao’s elder sister. The main theme of the story revolves around discovering what this Jinn is, what it does, where it comes from, and where it goes.

When the director narrated the script, I was overjoyed to be part of a fantasy-filled story. My role, as the hero’s grandmother, is not like the usual strict or emotional grandmother. Instead, it is a comedy-filled character.
