Shanthnu warns of fraudulent calls in his family name

Just like fake social media accounts of celebrities, fake casting calls have also been prevalent in the film fraternity. While directors Karthick Narean, PS Mithran & Sibiraj have called out fake casting calls on their behalf earlier last year, the latest is actor Shanthnu.
Looks like a few people have been using actor Shanthnu's name trying to cheat people in the film industry claiming to be part of his family.The actor has denied the same and has warned his friends in the film fraternity to be careful with such miscreants.
Shanthnu took to his social media page requesting people to be careful and posted, "Hello. My film friends have recently been receiving anonymous calls portraying to be part of my family & trying to misuse our name... Kindly beware & do not encourage! Pls feel free to reach out for any clarification.. Tnx. Ps: Attaching a screenshot of one of the numbers they used." (sic)
Meanwhile on the work front, actor Shanthnu is awaiting the release of upcoming film is 'Raavana Kottam' directed by Vikram Sugumaran. The shooting of the film, which has 'Kayal' actress Anandhi playing the female lead opposite Shanthanu, was wrapped up earlier last year.
