Shanthanu claimed in a recent YouTube interview that he shot 'Master' for 30 days and had a distinct love track with Gowri in the film. He also had a fight scene with Vijay and a distinct plot in the movie. However, given the nature of the film, his segments were edited short, and he was unaware of this when he gave multiple YouTube interviews during the 'Master' promotion. So, in response to trolls, the energetic man stated that he would not have given such interviews if he had been notified about the paucity of his parts. However, a video of the actor's most recent interview was circulated with a deceptive caption, and the actor issued a statement to clarify it.

"Varuthapaten unmai dhan, vimarsanam face pannen unmai dhan, but no one is to blame!" The description in this video is slightly deceptive. As expected, not all decisions are correct. But it's learning, an amazing experience," Shathanu wrote about the experience he gained through 'Master'.
