A lot of celebrities have been taking up the Green India Challenge, and nominating their colleagues from the industry, after Rajya Sabha MP J Santosh Kumar initiated the Green India Challenge last year. The latest to join the long list of K-town celebs to take up the challenge is singer and composer Shankar Mahadevan.
Shankar Mahadevan has also challenged his fellow musicians, music composer Devi Sri Prasad, singer Shreya Ghosal & Drums Sivamani. Sharing pictures of himself planting a sapling, Shankar Mahadevan posted, "I “ve accepted #GreenindiaChallenge from @MPsantoshtrs Planted 3 saplings. Further I am nominating @drumssivamani @shreyaghoshal @ThisIsDSP and especially my music lovers. Thanks to mp Santosh garu for great intiative.. @raghavtrs" (sic)
Shankar Mahadevan appealed to music lovers as well to join the initiative in making the country green and clean India.
