Shankar, love story with a difference

Debutant director Veera has completed shooting his first offering, Shankar, with newcomers Kantesh and Karthika in the lead.
Veera, who has assisted directors Saravana Sakthi and Viduthalai for 15 years, says, ��������� I���������ve introduced several newcomers in my film. But I���������ve roped in award-winning sound engineer Sasi to compose music.���������
He adds, ���������Shankar is the story of two youngsters from Rajapalayam who fall in love gradually after repeated meetings.The film will explore the finer emotions of people who fall in love and the concept ��������� love at first sight. This will be a refreshing love story, with a difference.���������
Ask Veera why he chose to name the film Shankar and he says, ���������I had a couple of options and Shankar was one among them. My friends suggested I name my film after the lead actor���������s character in it. And no, I didn���������t ask permission from director Shankar before naming my film. My movie will not hurt people���������s sentiments and I didn���������t think it was necessary to seek permission. Shankar is a big director and I hope he likes my film.���������
