The sequel of Arun Vijay’s action thriller film ‘

’ will reportedly start rolling soon. Recently, actor
Arun Vijay shared a photo from ‘Mafia’ photoshoot on his Instagram and captioned it, “One of my favourite photoshoots for #Mafia.” The actor also tagged director
Karthick Naren on the post indirectly asking him for an update on the sequel of the film.
Responding to the post, director Karthick Naren replied, ‘it will begin soon’. Earlier, actor Arun Vijay on his official Twitter handle stated that the second part of the film is in the discussion. It is expected that more information regarding the film ‘Mafia 2’ will be out soon.

Karthick Naren made his debut in Tamil cinema as a director with the feature film ‘Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru’ in 2016. Following that he directed ‘Mafia’ and his latest release was
Dhanush’s ‘Maaran’. The director is now working on his film ‘Nirangal Moondru’ which wrapped up shooting last month. The film is currently in post-production. It is speculated that the director will begin the work for ‘Mafia 2’ after the release of ‘Nirangal Moondru’ this year.
