Sathyaraj: Jhananathan has left a void that cannot be filled

’s demise has come as a shock to many. Celebrities have been expressing their shock and grief on their social media page. Actor Sathyaraj, too, shared a video clip, in which he shared his high regard for the director. He said, “SP Jhananathan was a man with progressive thoughts and a powerful filmmaker. He was a dear friend of mine. I express my sincere condolences over his demise. He has left a void that cannot be filled.”

The National Award-winning director passed away today at a private hospital. He was working on the post production of his latest film Laabam that stars Vijay Sethupathi and Shruti Haasan in the lead. On Monday, his assistants had visited him at his residence where they found the filmmaker unconscious. He was then taken to a private hospital in Chennai. SP Jananathan was in a critical condition for the last couple of days. The director is known for some of his powerful films like
