Samuthirakani are teaming up once again for ‘
Nadodigal 2
’, a sequel to the superhit Tamil film of the same name. Having successfully completed the first schedule, the team is currently wrapping up the remaining portions of the film.
Set in Rajapalayam, the first part revolved around the lives of close friends. Reports suggest that the makers have retained most of the elements that worked in ‘Nadodigal’.
‘Nadodigal 2’ stars Sasikumar, Bharani,
Athyulya
in the lead, while actors MS Baskar, Namo Narayana, Gnanasambandham, Super Subbarayan, Thulasi and Sri Ranjani will play important roles in the film.Music composer Justin Prabhakaran will be scoring for the film. Directed by Samuthirakani, ‘Nadodigal 2’ is slated to release this summer.
Meanwhile, Sasikumar and Samuthirakani are busy with their respective projects. Sasikumar awaits the release of ‘
Asuravadham
’, while Samuthirakani will next be seen in superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’, which will hit theatre screens on April 27. He also plays an important role in Dhanush-starrer ‘Vada Chennai’.
